As a current doctoral student, Katrina possesses a diverse background in studying race, crime, and justice through a racial justice framework. Specifically, she is committed to researching far-right ideology and hate-motivated violence. She has experience with a variety of inclusive qualitative research projects, particularly around racial inequality, and has built numerous relationships in academia as well as the non-profit sector.

Katrina has experience working at a national training and policy organization with the goal of improving police and youth interactions on a national level. There, she performed research and outreach to provide racially equitable training for law enforcement and help youth navigate interactions with enforcement officers.
